Reading a Battle Report

Quick answers

Is Iron Realms free to play?
Yes. Iron Realms is free to play in any browser with no download and no account required. Every building, troop tier and Seat of Power is reachable without spending money — purchases buy speed and cosmetics, never a higher ceiling.
Does spending money make you stronger in Iron Realms?
No. Nothing purchasable raises your power ceiling. A charter audit runs on every build and fails it if any offer would sell power. Spending compresses time: the summit takes about 24 months free, or 18 months with the $9.99 monthly Charter held throughout.
How long does it take to max a keep in Iron Realms?
About 24 months of free play at roughly half an hour a day, or 18 months with the $9.99 Warden's Charter. Keeps cap at level 45 and troops at tier 13 — the same summit for everyone.

The report is a confession. It tells you which bonuses fired, where the triangle turned, and what to change before the next fight. Learn to read it and every battle makes you better.

The clash strip

The top of the report shows the swing of the fight — who had the edge and when. A one-sided strip means a composition or bonus mismatch; a see-saw means it came down to turnout or terrain.

Bonuses applied

Look at the bonus lines: attack and defense edges from commanders, gear, research, seat buffs, terrain, dragon breath, and coordination. If the enemy had a defender bonus you did not account for, that is your lesson — scout and counter it next time.

Losses and the hospital

Wounded troops go to the hospital up to its capacity; overflow is lost outright. If you bled more than expected, raise hospital capacity and avoid fights that overflow it. Loot gained tells you whether the raid even paid for itself.

Quick recap
  • The clash strip shows where the fight turned
  • Read the bonus lines to find the mismatch
  • Hospital capacity decides how much of a loss you get back
