Two characters, each written by hand and answered by a machine that has been given a very short leash. Neither will recite a line he did not say here first, neither will tell you what to do with your money or your health, and neither remembers you between questions — there is nothing to remember with.

How it works
You type a question. A language model answers it in the character's voice, using a description of him that was written for this page and nothing else — no transcript of the books, no episode summaries, no dialogue. Before the model is asked anything at all, the question passes through a set of rules that decide whether it is a question this page will answer: anything about money, medicine, the law, real people or real politics is turned down by the site itself rather than passed along and hoped about. Anything that comes back is checked again before you see it.
Most of the interesting work is in what he will not do. He will not quote the novels or the television series — asked for a famous line, he says so and offers something of his own instead. He will not tell you he is a program, because a character who breaks to explain himself is not much of a character; but this page tells you, in the line above, because you are entitled to know and he is not the right one to say it. Each of them speaks from one fixed point in his own story, which is what makes him a person with a horizon rather than an encyclopaedia: Jon Snow is uncertain about his sisters and honestly ignorant about his own mother, and Uhtred does not know whether he ever takes his fortress back. Those are the questions these pages get most, and "I do not know" is both true where each man stands and the only answer that avoids this site inventing a ruling of its own about somebody else's story.
There is no memory. Each question is answered on its own, reloading the page leaves no conversation behind, and no account is asked for. That is partly a privacy position and mostly a safety one: a conversation that remembers can be walked, one small step at a time, somewhere it should not go, and a conversation that does not remember cannot.
Separately from that, and worth not blurring together with it: the page load is recorded like every page on this site — a cookie, your IP address, your device, where you came from, and your account if you are signed in to the game. What you typed is not part of it, and there is still nothing anywhere that joins one question to the next. What we record, and why.
When the model is unavailable — no key configured, the day's budget spent, or an answer that failed one of the checks — he answers from lines written by hand for exactly that case. You are not told which is which, deliberately: a page that announces when its budget has run out is a page telling somebody how to run it out. The written lines are good; that is the standard they had to meet to be here.
What this is not
It is not canon, it is not a source, and it is not the author's voice. It is a fan page made for fun by people who like the books, and everything on it was written fresh for it.
