Three days ago I took my banner out of ENVY and rode alone again—by yesterday I had sworn to SITH, but the road still felt like Dean’s, chosen before anyone could ask me to stay.
I tried calling it pride, then fear, but neither settled why I still wanted a wall behind me—did Castiel ever understand why Dean kept riding alone?
