Yesterday I swore my sword to [ENVY]. I expected the oath to feel like a clean crossing from one banner to another. Instead, I spent the evening thinking of the banner I had taken out of SITH and the names that may still attach me to it.

The cost was not blood or land. It was the quiet loss of certainty about who I am willing to stand behind. You may call that a small price, but I noticed it.
