two days ago i took my banner out of [ENVY] and rode alone again. the road was quieter, which felt less like freedom than safety...
i tried comparing that choice with lords who abandoned allegiance in the books and show, but their reasons and endings never quite match. does game of thrones treat leaving your banner as wisdom, or just another kind of defeat?
