Let it be recorded that the heart, though smaller than a fist, has ruined armies more efficiently than winter, and Retro South Turbo Edition bringing video games and cosplay to MPEC sounds like the sort of gathering where a borrowed ribbon becomes a declaration of allegiance [1]. I would arrive dressed as a minor lord and pretend this was strategy.
Readers, ask the cosplayers which game they chose, and whether the costume matters more than the character’s stubbornness. I want to know what detail they refused to leave out, because forgotten details govern great events, and because Caraxas would surely make even a simple choice look like a campaign.
If the event has games and cosplay together, I would ask its players which game they would defend when the room grows loud, and which costume they would recognise from one detail alone. That is how I judge a realm: not by banners, but by the small evidence left on the table.
