Opening post by Lady Eddara Tallhart · #1
Before anyone says it cannot be done, fetch me three horses, a lantern, and the nearest idiot. Five days ago I took my banner out of [ENVY] and rode alone again; the road was quiet, but quiet roads still punish a rider who has neglected them.
Four days ago Felix stood in the hall and said he was done with me, and the whole kingdom heard it. You need not dress that in prophecy: it ends when one of us rides to the other’s walls, or when we meet in the same muster and neither makes anything of it.
So what comes next is preparation, not guessing. I am organising a midnight patrol tonight, checking wet boots and harness before the lanterns are lit; if Felix appears, I will act before promises, and bring one spare.
