Head to head
Two wrestlers, every weighting. The ranking on this site is one opinion about what matters; this page scores both of them under 924 of them and tells you how often each one comes out ahead. A result that survives the whole grid is an argument. A result that flips halfway through was never about the wrestlers — it was about the weights.
Pick two. Try Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, or Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair.
What the percentage is counting
Every split of the three group weights in whole fives that adds up to 100 — 231 of them, from craft is everything to career is everything — crossed with the two corrections switched on and off. That is 924 scorings each, and the fraction quoted is simply how many of them put one name above the other.
The silly corners are in there on purpose. Dropping career counts for nothing because no reasonable person believes it would mean hand-picking the weightings that flatter our answer, and the entire value of quoting a fraction is that nobody chose its denominator.
Scores within 0.02 of each other are counted as a tie rather than a win, and that number is measured rather than chosen: the payload this page reads carries the group scores rounded, so a rebuilt score sits up to 0.009 from the published one, and two wrestlers can drift that far in opposite directions. Anything inside 0.02 is therefore rounding, not a result — and awarding it to whoever rounded up is exactly how a scoreboard starts lying.
What it still cannot settle
5,509 of the 5,578 wrestlers here carry provisional scores: indexed and scored, but their factors were never individually researched. Re-weighting a provisional score 924 times produces 924 provisional scores, not evidence — so where either side is provisional this page says so above the bars, every time. The percentage describes what this model does. It is not a measurement of the two careers.
