Iron Realms Opens Its Gates — Free Strategy MMO Enters Pre-Alpha

THE SEVEN KINGDOMS, 2026 — Iron Realms, a free-to-play strategy MMO, today opened to all players in pre-alpha. Beginning with a single tower, every lord raises a keep, bands into a player-run alliance, and wages coordinated war across a fully 3D continent that shifts beneath them as the seasons turn.
Where the genre has long leaned on pay-to-win economics, Iron Realms launches on the opposite promise: purchases buy speed and cosmetic flair, never power. No bundle raises a troop's strength beyond what a free player can reach, and none unlocks a tier that has not been earned. The studio publishes an open Fair Play Ledger documenting the effect of every purchasable item, so the community can hold the economy accountable.
"We wanted to build the strategy game we actually want to play — one where the lord who out-thinks and out-coordinates you wins, not the one who out-spends you," a spokesperson for the Iron Realms team said. "Every system in the game is downstream of that single rule."
