How it works

Nine questions, four answers apiece, drawn at random out of a bank that is considerably larger than nine — so answering it twice is genuinely a second run rather than the same paper handed back. No answer points at a single order. Each one leans two or three ways at once, which is why the verdict arrives out of the whole nine rather than out of the one question where you guessed what it was fishing for.

The scoring happens on your own machine and stays there. There is no account, no sign-up box and no answer that leaves the page — the questions were already inside it before you opened it, which is also why the whole thing keeps working with the network switched off.

The seven orders you can be sworn to

The Night's Watch — the black cloak, the cold wall, and a job that never ends and is never thanked. For the ones who would rather be useful than comfortable.
The Kingsguard — the white cloak, and a life spent standing behind somebody else's chair. For those who want a duty simple enough to be absolute.
The Citadel — a chain, a library, and decades of patience. For the ones whose first instinct in a crisis is to go and find out.
The Faith — the seven-pointed star, a congregation, and the unglamorous work of being where people go when it is bad. For the consolers.
The Silent Sisters — the last office, performed for strangers, in silence. For those who can do the thing nobody else will do.
The Hedge Knight's Road — no order at all, a horse, and whatever work the next village has. For anyone who cannot be told.
The Iron Bank — a ledger, a very long memory, and the quiet certainty of being repaid. For the ones who keep the receipt.

What a vow actually costs

Every order on this list is a trade, and the trade is the interesting part. The Watch takes your family and gives you a wall to be necessary on. The Kingsguard takes your ambition and gives you a certainty most people never get. The Citadel takes twenty years and gives you the answer. The questions are written around those costs rather than around aesthetics, so the verdict is less about which cloak you would enjoy wearing and more about which of your own things you would agree to hand over.

Sharing what you got

When the last question lands, the address bar quietly changes. That link carries your verdict, so whoever opens it sees exactly the card you saw — no screenshot, no account, and they can take the nine questions themselves from the same page. There is also a result card you can download as an image, drawn in the page and never uploaded anywhere, for the places that would rather have a picture than a link.
