How Long Would You Last in the Long Night?
A winter that does not end is not a battle, it is an administrative problem with a body count. Nine questions about rationing, boredom, firewood and who you would carry — and an honest answer about how far into the dark you get.

How it works
Nine questions arrive one at a time, each with four answers, and they are about the unglamorous parts of a long winter: what you would ration first, how you behave in the sixth boring week, whether you would go outside for firewood in the dark, and who you would still be feeding in the fourth moon. A larger bank sits behind them, so a second run asks different things.
No answer leaves your browser and none of it is stored. There is no login, nothing to install and no waiting — the page arrived with everything it needs, which is also why it works with the network off.
The six honest answers
- The First Night — you would be a casualty of the excitement rather than of the cold.
- Nine Days — long enough to help, not long enough to plan. The forager's death.
- One Moon — the wall-watcher: excellent for a month, and then a month is up.
- All Winter — the quartermaster. Nobody sings about you and everybody ate.
- The Last One Awake — still going after there is no obvious reason to.
- You Would Not Die — you would change sides, and you would have reasons.
Why the sixth week is the real test
Almost anyone can be impressive on the first night of a catastrophe. Adrenaline is generous and everybody is briefly their best self. What actually kills people in a long winter is the middle of it — the boredom, the small unfairnesses about firewood, the slow arithmetic of stores against mouths, the person who was heroic in week one and is now a problem in week six. So the questions here deliberately skip the drama and ask about the tedium, because the tedium is what the answer is made of.
