What Kind of Supernatural Hunter Would You Be?

Nobody is paying you, nobody is coming, and the job still needs doing — the family business, inherited rather than chosen. Nine questions decide what you would actually be useful for at three in the morning, salt line already down and EMF meter already ticking, and what the rest of the car would be quietly glad you brought.

Loading the trunk…

How it works

Nine questions, four answers each, pulled at random from a bank considerably larger than nine — so a second run is a genuinely different paper rather than the same one handed back. No single answer decides anything: each one leans two or three ways at once, and the verdict comes out of the whole nine.

All of it happens on your own machine. No account, no sign-up, no answer leaving the page, and the questions were already inside it before you opened it — which is why it keeps working with the network off, in a motel car park, on one bar of signal.

The six kinds

Why usefulness rather than bravery

Courage is a boring axis for a quiz because almost everyone answers it the same way. What actually separates people in a bad hour is what they reach for first — the journal, the keys, a conversation, a first aid kit, the door — and that is what these questions are built around. The verdict is less about how frightened you would be and more about what the rest of the car would be relieved you had brought, whether that is a working theory, a full tank or the nerve to knock on the door first.

Sharing what you got

When the last question lands the address bar changes quietly. That link carries your verdict, so whoever opens it sees the same card you saw and can take the nine questions from the same page. There is also a downloadable result card, drawn inside the page and never uploaded anywhere.

Common questions

What is a hunter in Supernatural?
A hunter is someone who investigates and kills supernatural threats outside any official structure — no badge, no funding and no backup. Sam and Dean Winchester were raised into it by their father John after their mother Mary's death, and the show treats hunting as an inherited job nobody chose rather than a calling.
What kind of hunter would you be?
This quiz answers that across six kinds: the researcher, the wheelman, the one who talks their way in, the one who patches everybody up, the loner, and the one who quit and came back. Nine questions decide it, and none of them ask which character you like.
How is this different from the character quiz?
The character quiz matches you to a specific person from the show — Dean, Sam, Castiel and so on. This one asks what job you would actually do on a hunt, which is a different question: plenty of people match Dean as a personality and turn out to be the researcher in practice.

This is fan-made, and unofficial

This is an unofficial fan quiz inspired by the television series Supernatural. It is a free, unofficial fan quiz — an unofficial fan tribute, made for fun. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Warner Bros. Television, The CW, or any official rights holder of Supernatural.

Every question, role and verdict on this page was written for it, naming real characters and the show's real settings as comparisons under nominative fair use. No dialogue, script text, scene or artwork from any television series is reproduced anywhere in it. Iron Realms — the strategy game the rest of this site is about — is an original fantasy world with its own map, its own houses and its own art, and has no connection to the world of Supernatural. This corner is kept separate on purpose, and nothing in it should be read as suggesting otherwise.

Where the rest of them are

If you would rather be asked what you would give up than what you are good at, the crossroads quiz is next door. The Supernatural section lists every quiz and tool in this wing, and the fan tributes hub has the rest of the corner. If you would rather play something than answer questions, Iron Realms is free and runs in a browser tab.

Iron Realms is an original work of fantasy strategy. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any other game or franchise, and “Iron Realms” is a working project name rather than necessarily the final title. Its lore, names and artwork are original or used under CC0/CC-BY/OFL licences (see the in-game Credits). The community section also hosts unofficial fan tributes — quizzes and diversions made for fun, not part of the game — which name other fictional worlds under their own labels and are likewise not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to their rights holders.
