What Would They Get Wrong?
Not what makes you you on the inside — what somebody wearing your face would fail to reproduce from the outside, the exact problem a shapeshifter runs into every single time. Nine questions decide the one habit that would give an impostor away, if they got everything else right.
Checking the mirror twice…
How it works
Nine questions, four answers each, from a bank larger than nine, scored on your own machine. No account, and no answer of yours leaving the page. It runs with the network off.
The six answers
- The Voice — not what you say. How you say it, under pressure, when nobody is editing themselves.
- The Hands — a habit so physical you have never once had to think about doing it.
- The Patience — the exact point at which you, specifically, run out of it.
- The History — a shared fact only somebody who was actually there would get right — precisely the kind of test a brother uses when he suspects the man across the table is wearing his sibling's face and nothing else.
- The Cruelty — the specific, narrow way you are unkind, which nobody could guess from outside.
- Nothing — a real, reachable answer: they would get away with it completely, the quiet nightmare at the centre of every shapeshifter episode this show ever ran.
Why the outside, not the inside
Every other sort in this corner asks what you are made of. This one asks the opposite question on purpose: not your values or your history as you experience them, but the handful of externally observable tics that somebody would have to reproduce PERFECTLY to pass as you for a week — the entire premise a shapeshifter, a Leviathan wearing a stolen face, or a trickster's illusion has to solve and almost never solves completely. That is a much narrower and more interesting question, because most people can describe their own character in general terms and very few have ever had to think about which specific habit is actually load-bearing.

Common questions
- What is a shapeshifter in Supernatural?
- A shapeshifter can take another person's exact appearance, usually after shedding skin, and can access enough of the original's memories to be convincing. Silver is the show's standard weakness, and the creature's reflection or its behaviour around a camera is often what gives it away.
- What would give your double away?
- Nine questions decide it across six answers: the voice, the hands, the patience, the history, the specific way you are unkind, or nothing at all. The last one is a real result rather than a joke, and a surprising number of people land on it.
- How do you kill a shapeshifter in Supernatural?
- Silver is the consistent answer across the show — a silver blade or a silver bullet to the heart. That weakness is borrowed from werewolf folklore rather than from any traditional shapeshifter story, which is one of several places the show's own internal rules diverge from the traditions they are named after.
This is fan-made, and unofficial
This is an unofficial fan quiz inspired by the television series Supernatural. It is a free, unofficial fan quiz — an unofficial fan tribute, made for fun. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Warner Bros. Television, The CW, or any official rights holder of Supernatural.
Every question, answer and verdict on this page was written for it, naming real characters and creatures from the show as comparisons under nominative fair use. No dialogue, script text, scene or artwork from any television series is reproduced anywhere in it. Iron Realms — the strategy game the rest of this site is about — is an original fantasy world with its own map, its own houses and its own art, and has no connection to the world of Supernatural. This corner is kept separate on purpose, and nothing in it should be read as suggesting otherwise.
Where the rest of them are
If you would rather be asked which of your habits would curdle than which one would betray an impostor, the monster quiz is next door. The Supernatural section lists every quiz and tool in this wing, and the fan tributes hub has the rest of the corner. If you would rather play something than answer questions, Iron Realms is free and runs in a browser tab.
