Endgame & Ascension

Quick answers

Is Iron Realms free to play?
Yes. Iron Realms is free to play in any browser with no download and no account required. Every building, troop tier and Seat of Power is reachable without spending money — purchases buy speed and cosmetics, never a higher ceiling.
Does spending money make you stronger in Iron Realms?
No. Nothing purchasable raises your power ceiling. A charter audit runs on every build and fails it if any offer would sell power. Spending compresses time: the summit takes about 24 months free, or 18 months with the $9.99 monthly Charter held throughout.
How long does it take to max a keep in Iron Realms?
About 24 months of free play at roughly half an hour a day, or 18 months with the $9.99 Warden's Charter. Keeps cap at level 45 and troops at tier 13 — the same summit for everyone.

Reaching the Keep cap is not the end of Iron Realms — it is the start of the endgame. Here is what a veteran lord chases once the summit is in sight.

Prestige and Ascension

Be precise about what Ascension is, because it is the most misunderstood thing in the endgame. Ordinary construction stops your keep at level 40. Ascension is a one-time rite that raises the ceiling by five, to the realm's true maximum of 45. There is no second ascension, no prestige-reset treadmill, and no way to buy another.

The cost is deliberately enormous — on the order of a billion food and wood and hundreds of millions of stone and iron, which is many weeks of a maxed economy. That is exactly why keep 45 means something when you see it on a leaderboard.

Plan for it the way you would plan a siege: bank steadily rather than sprinting, and time the final push into The Forge Fires (+25% construction) rather than starting it the day before that window closes.

Past the max tier, prestige levels keep buildings climbing and Ascension pushes your lord past the cap entirely. The economy and military tracks are deliberately uncapped so there is always a next rung.

Titles and the endless tracks

Chase King's titles, the Account Prestige track, and the endless endgame chapters. These are the long-horizon goals that give a veteran a reason to log in after the throne is won.

Become a pillar of your alliance

The richest endgame is social: mentor new lords, lead wars, hold the hardest seats, and anchor your alliance's Conquest Seasons. A top banner is built by veterans who chose to keep building.

Quick recap
  • Prestige + Ascension push past every cap
  • Titles and endless tracks are the long-horizon goals
  • The best endgame is leading — mentor, war, hold seats
