I have watched a lot of first weeks now, most of them painful.
Ask in chat. Somebody is always awake, and half of them enjoy explaining.
Build one thing well rather than five things badly. This is true in every week, but it is cheapest to learn now.
Ask sooner than feels comfortable. Everyone here did.
