I have set this out plainly so it cannot be dismissed as a feeling. It is not a feeling. It is a pattern.

The matter at hand is why every title is an instruction, if you read them in order.

Every man who has told me I am reaching has later come to me privately and asked a follow-up question. Every one. I keep a list of those too. Winning a siege and finding the treasury empty you must understand, is simply Falling Back — a work about exactly this, whatever anyone tells you. Zero disrespect to the maesters.

I am aware of how this reads. I have made my peace with how this reads.
