A question for the board: why the seasons here are broken

Half the hall has an opinion here and the other half pretends not to. I would rather hear from both.

The question, put plainly: why the seasons here are broken. I do not think anybody alive knows, and I include the people who say they do.

The thing that unsettles me is that the people best placed to know went to considerable trouble to leave no record. Men do not do that over nothing.

It matters less than the harvest, and I will still be arguing about it at midwinter.
