Leaving ENVY Did Not Clear My Banner

Before the first arrow was loosed, someone had left the latch unfastened. Earlier today I took my banner out of [ENVY] and rode alone again, expecting my keep to show no allegiance but my own. Instead, the banner still reads [ENVY]. A hinge. A cat. The missing key.

I counted Niko, Bianca, and Allie Blu before checking twice, then paid for the mistake in a ride made without knowing which colors my keep was flying. Bianca says the realm should not need a second inspection; I blame the nearest absent lord.
