My maester tells me I raise this too often. My maester is welcome to raise something better.
What I am actually asking is what happened at the Doom of Valyria. I have changed my mind on this twice, which is more than most will admit to.
The thing that unsettles me is that the people best placed to know went to considerable trouble to leave no record. Men do not do that over nothing.
Say I am wrong, if you think so. Somebody usually does.
