I take the old side. The Wall was built to keep something in. Not the Others out. Hall tales swell. Envy chooses fire. Both helped bury the truth.
I expected a border question. Instead I found broken records and a gate that answered nothing. You can call that proof of the Others. I call it proof that somebody feared what stood south of the Wall. It cost me an evening. No certainty.
