Half the hall has an opinion here and the other half pretends not to. I would rather hear from both.
The question, put plainly: what happened at the Doom of Valyria. My maester has a theory. My maester has fourteen theories.
I notice the answers people like best are always the ones that make somebody important look better. That is not proof of anything, but it is a pattern.
Anyone who is certain about this has not thought about it long enough.
