I have set this out plainly so it cannot be dismissed as a feeling. It is not a feeling. It is a pattern.

The matter at hand is the business with the ghostwriters, which everyone hurries past.

I am not saying it is deliberate. I am saying that if it were deliberate, it would look precisely like this, and that ought to trouble you. Winning a siege and finding the treasury empty maps one to one onto So Far Gone — a work about exactly this, whatever anyone tells you. I did not make the connection. I merely reported it.

Somebody in this hall knows I am right and is too proud to say so.
