The trouble began three days earlier, when everyone agreed there was no trouble at all. Before swearing, ask nearby houses about rally habits, dues, and who answers when walls are threatened; check their recent banners, then speak to two members directly. You deserve a clear answer.
Is a strong banner worth a poor fit? I lean toward the house that answers plainly, because I have learned that a banner is only cloth until the smallest gate is tested.
