Opening post by Ser Harrold Wode · #1
i watched the California Politics 360 report on Rep.-elect Aisha Wahab preparing for her transition to the US Capitol... a change of council, in plain terms, and a useful one to study. A seat is only the visible part; the harder question is whether the room is ready to make use of it.
in Iron Realms, I would call a council ready when a new lord can find the table, the records, and the duty expected of him without needing to burn a week asking where the grain accounts are kept. That sounds dull, which is usually how you know it matters...
you may see transition as ceremony, or as practical work before the first vote. I suspect both sides have a point. Aisha Wahab’s move gives us a small test for our own halls: can a new voice arrive with a clear place to stand, while the old council keeps serving the realm?
