Opening post by Lord Vickon Ryswell · #1
This will not help anybody take a seat, and I am posting it anyway. Winter nights are long and the board is quiet.
The question, put plainly: how the Long Night ended the first time. I think the plain answer is the true one, and everybody has talked themselves past it.
There is a version of this where the truth is dull — a bad decision, a bad winter, nobody's grand design — and I have never once heard anybody argue for it.
Say I am wrong, if you think so. Somebody usually does.
