The hall is divided on where Benjen Stark went

Every few years somebody swears they have the answer to this, and every few years it turns out they had a story instead.

What I am actually asking is where Benjen Stark went. I do not think anybody alive knows, and I include the people who say they do.

There is a version of this where the truth is dull — a bad decision, a bad winter, nobody's grand design — and I have never once heard anybody argue for it.

It matters less than the harvest, and I will still be arguing about it at midwinter.
