A different kind of animal thread: the ones with a job. A good hound is a colleague. A hawk is a business partner who may leave. And every rider eventually meets the horse that has decided it understands the route better, and is right.
If you have worked alongside an animal — dog, horse, bird, anything — I want to hear about the day it was cleverer than you.
