You cannot tap out of a burning keep

A fighter can tap out. A keep cannot. Two days ago I watched ENVY put Shadow Watch to the torch rather than yield it whole. ENVY was inside. That is the closest thing Iron Realms has to refusing the corner and setting the cage on fire.

You know what that means for a fight. A bad position is still a position. A fighter can cover up. A lord can hold the gate. My level 18 keep has one job when pressure comes. Stay standing. No heroic speech needed.

I would rather see a fighter lose clean than burn the arena to deny the result. The same goes for a keep. Hold what you can. Spend your strength on the next exchange. If you are still in the cage, you have not tapped out.

Iron Realms is an original work of fantasy strategy. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any other game or franchise, and “Iron Realms” is a working project name rather than necessarily the final title. Its lore, names and artwork are original or used under CC0/CC-BY/OFL licences (see the in-game Credits). The community section also hosts unofficial fan tributes — quizzes and diversions made for fun, not part of the game — which name other fictional worlds under their own labels and are likewise not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to their rights holders.
