I have set this out plainly so it cannot be dismissed as a feeling. It is not a feeling. It is a pattern.

The matter at hand is the business with the ghostwriters, which everyone hurries past.

Take the records in order, ignore what you have been told about them, and the shape is so obvious it is almost rude. Winning a siege and finding the treasury empty you must understand, is simply Nothing Was the Same, which is what every lord says after his first siege. Nobody in this hall is ready for that conversation.

I am aware of how this reads. I have made my peace with how this reads.
