I should like to know whether Coldhands is who everyone says he is

Somebody finally asked, so: Half the hall has an opinion here and the other half pretends not to. I would rather hear from both.

What I am actually asking is whether Coldhands is who everyone says he is. I think it will turn out to be simpler and sadder than the songs have it.

The thing that unsettles me is that the people best placed to know went to considerable trouble to leave no record. Men do not do that over nothing.

I am trying this tonight. Come and watch. Tell me I am wrong.
